Deluxe Italian dining just got a whole lot better in Chermside. Casa Cibo is out to impress.

Remarkably modern yet still managing to retain some of Italy's rustic charm, Casa Cibo calls a vast, cavernous space home. Contemporary architectural design has made way for unusual shapes that accommodate sweeping features, such as their extravagantly long bar which makes elegant use of the space. One has the feeling of being in a modern art museum, only to be reminded they're at Casa Cibo when glancing at the two gleaming pizza ovens: a dynamic duo in the making.

The restaurant itself might feel almost other-worldly and far from home, but the food very much grounds Casa Cibo in reality. They're serving surprisingly modest dishes such as spaghetti carbonara, pesto ravioli and a range of traditional pizzas that rest on centuries-old cooking techniques.

Even the large plates side with tradition, as you can see with the parmesan-crusted chicken with a creamy mushroom sauce and the classic lasagne with all the delicious meaty layers. Follow that with a tiramisu and a glass of Italian white and you have a remarkably family-orientated menu served in all the prestige of Casa Cibo's great halls. The juxtaposition is exciting and delicious.
