Who knew you could do so much travelling in Everton Park?! Elegant with nods to the European colonial rule in the region, MaiGai is a beautiful and historic snapshot of Southeast Asia. With a mix of pretty bistro settings, as well as communal picnic benches set amongst bountiful potted plants and a neutral colour scheme, Mai Gai has heaps of personality without trying too hard.

If all this chat about Southeast Asia is mai-king you hungry, then let's proceed with haste to the menu. Start off small with a helping of prawn toast, crispy cauliflower or BBQ pork spring rolls. The baos also lend themselves very well to a cheeky starter and are filled with anything from Moreton Bay bugs to popcorn chicken and cauliflower.

The mains are also a delight with the likes of sticky pork belly alongside fresh and unexpected accompaniments, whole fish and revitalising salads. And if a salad won't quite cut it, indulge in warming panang curries, aromatic massaman's, mountains of Pad Thai and marvellous stir-fries. Turns out, Mai Gai might just be your kind guy!
