Red is the colour of happiness, joy and good fortune—three things diners at Foogoo experience in spades. It’s no wonder, then, that a brilliant red wall greets you as you approach this bustling restaurant. You’ll certainly be smiling by the time you’ve taken your seat.

This grin will be caused by a combination of things. Perhaps it’s the delicious scent of the master stock pork belly wafting through the restaurant, with its chilli caramel and nam pla phrik. Maybe it’s the look of the tender Brooklyn Valley Angus beef short ribs being served at a table nearby—in fact, we’re willing to bet it’s a combination of the two and more. All of your senses will be tantalised when dining at Foogoo.

This modern Asian restaurant was born out of necessity. Co-owners Casper and Ethan, who have worked at Sydney’s China Doll and Lotus Madame Shanghai, saw a gap in the market. They wanted to bring an elevated modern Asian dining experience to Sydney’s North Shore, and so Foogoo was born.

You can eat a plethora of dishes here that truly take Asian cuisine to the next level. All ingredients are fresh and prepared with skill and care, and the venue is licensed, so you can wash your meal down with a crisp wine or cool beer.
