Using ancient methods to create spellbinding flavour, David's follows the Malatang philosophy which sees over 20 different Chinese herbs and spices being added to an array of delicious broths and slow-cooked for 12 hours or more. So you can imagine how tasty these broths are! And you can enjoy your own creation in David's regal diner that is almost temple-like in look and feel.
Allow David to teach you how to Malatang properly. First off, choose the ingredients that you want to drop into your broth. With over 100 fresh goodies to choose from, you have the option to go heavy on seafood, meat, veggies and even cuts of meat that you've never heard of before.
Then you want to select your base, be that a soup or stir fry. Those who want their tongue to tingle should opt for the spicy dry pot that has a fiery garlic sauce stirred in. Those who fancy something really traditional couldn't do better than the pork bone soup or the signature stir-fry pot. As ever, feel free to add on some prawn spring rolls, Sichuan-style beef or a wonton soup on the side to really enjoy the full breadth of flavours on offer.
