A cosy wine bar tucked away from all the comings and goings in the big city, Dikstein's Corner Bar is one of those places you might stumble across one day and proceed to go back every day after.
So called Dikstein's Corner Bar because it's parked on a dinky street corner in a soaring Victorian building, this bar has personality by the bucketful. Like walking into a time portal, Dikstein's makes one feel like they're entering a past era. With many of the building's original features in place, as well as the worn dark woods everywhere, novelty antiquities and cosy table lamps, you just know that his bar has endless stories to tell. And you'll find that many such stories come in liquid form...
But before we get to the wine itself, let's refuel with some seasonal comforting eats. Crowd-pleasers like wood-fired pizzas, housemade burgers and Italian pastas take the lead whilst tasty nibbles like fried calamari and charcuterie boards serve as wonderful appetite ticklers.
Now, it's high time you perused their impressive wine collection. Full to the rafters with Australian and international wines, you have your pick of the crop when it comes to crushed grapes. Feel free to indulge in a whisky instead if the mood feels right - that's just another liquor that they specialise in!
