Where to get your degustation fix on First Table

Sometimes we need someone else to make the hard decisions! The hard decisions on what to eat, that is. That’s why degustation and set menus are such a great idea when you can’t decide and don’t want to have dining FOMO. We’ve got some stunning First Table restaurants in Sydney with tasting menus to help those who can't decide
Vizio Caffe e Cucina
Vizio’s 5 course degustation menu is a delicious homage to indulgent European and Italian fare. On the spring menu, you’ll find focaccia with extra virgin olive oil and balsamic to dip into the evening, as well as burrata with avruga caviar and chives. Then, a fish taco stuffed full of flathead fillet, slaw, sour cream and coriander followed by a spicy pasta dish of orecchiette arrabbiata with tomato, ricotta cheese and saffron. Hopefully you have some room left for the melt-in-the-mouth 30 hours slow cooked pork, with mashed potato and red wine jus. Finish off with warm chocolate cake, and be sure to add on matched wines for the ultimate affair.
Pilu at Freshwater
Enjoy pristine fine dining at Pilu at Freshwater, with a taste of The Sardinian Experience. This 5 course tasting menu is a reflection of culinary wizard Giovanni Pilu’s Sardinian upbringing, that has something for everyone. Begin with chargrilled octopus with garlic, followed up with Sardinian pasta. The Aquna Murray cod and roasted Melanda park suckling pig are the stars of the show, each with their own show stopping sauces. The grand finale is fried pastry, with creamy ricotta and honey. This is fine dining at its finest.
Enoteca 128
Enoteca means wine library, so one can assume with a name like this, it’s best to include the optional wine matching with your meal! Kick off your visit to the Med with premium Sydney rock oysters with apple and smoked caviar, paired with a Prosciutto San Daniele. A crowd favorite, zucchini flower with ricotta, then spaghettoni gragnanese of blue swimmer crab will impress, followed by a crispy skinned Aquna Murray cod. Sweet tooth's rejoice with the chocolate fondant with vanilla gelato for dessert, and we did mention you need to match with recommended wines!
Long Chim Sydney
One of the most moreish Thai restaurants in Sydney, Long Chim has two set menus which are available with the First Table offer! Choose from the Classic Maa Long Chim, or the Signature Maa Long Chim. The classic option is a celebration of Long Chim favourites for a true taste of Bangkok, and the signature features the bold flavours of Bangkok with smattering of Australia’s finest seasonal produce. Featuring spicy cashews with tamarind fish sauce, the crispy prawn cake with coconut cream and plum dipping sauce, and red curry of chicken with Thai basil eggplant and coconut cream, Long Chim's set menus will not disappoint!
