Owner Fabio Candolo wanted to capture the warmth and family vibe of his homeland’s food scene, which is why the front of house team his made up of his partner, Carrie, and a circle of close friends.

Get stuck into honest, delicious dishes such as antipasti, marinated sardines, slow-cooked ox tongue, grilled meat, mouth-watering vegetable sides and of course a sensational selection of pasta.

From lamb ragu to porcini mushroom ravioli, broccoli orecchiette to gnocchi smothered in melting burrata, they have the answer to your most decadent pasta dreams!

Spread over two floors, there’s enough room for any kind of gathering. There are cosy corners for a romantic evening, bar stools for friends wanting to catch up whilst watching the theatre of the kitchen and large tables for big family reunions.

Throw in a playful wine list and quite simply the best Aperol spritz this side of the Indian Ocean and you’ll begin to understand why Basta is full every night of the week.
