Amor Mexico

Stepping out of Melbourne's urban jungle, Amor Mexico is Blackburn's coolest new inhabitant. Bursting with colour and flavour, this bold and vibrant restaurant is as gorgeous as it is handy.

Outside, minimalist iron gates and twinkling fairy lights give you a hint of what's to come, but beyond that, the Amor invasion is complete. The spacious dining room is designed to seat the happy hordes for tranquil family fiestas or wild catch-ups. Black walls are adorned with a single-pop mobile of piñata-topper Mexican wrestlers, while rows of suspended bamboo baskets dangle happily above the seats.

The bar is offering ice-cold drinks and lip-smacking margaritas; it simply wouldn't be a Mexican without them! The skull-themed booth seats are perfect for celebrations, and couples will adore the cute couple corners. To start, reach for some classic starters like their famous nachos, jalapeño poppers, street-style tacos or tortilla dips.

The mains take it up a notch with their chimichanga burrito, enchiladas, tacos and tostada grande. Amor Mexico doesn't take itself too seriously, but its beautiful restaurant certainly captivates all who see it.
