Breathtaking and unmissable, Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, Pittwater and Circular Quay are the place to be for all things culinary. In these globally unrivalled CBD waterfront precincts, you can find breakfast, lunch, dinner and everything in between. You can’t dine in Sydney without dining Harbourside, and you can enjoy half-price meals at these Sydney restaurants on First Table.
Harbourfront seafood restaurant
Where the Sydney Opera House and the Sydney Harbour Bridge are almost close enough to touch, Harbourfront Seafood Restaurant is one of Sydney's leading seafood eateries. Featuring Seafood at it's most delicious, you'll find mouthwatering freshly shucked Sydney rock oysters, grilled Moreton Bay bugs, king prawns, grilled Western Australian lobster and pan roasted humpty doo barramundi. Take a peek at the dessert menu if you dare, for a chocolate fondant or orange and vanilla panna cotta, then sit back and take in the incredible views of Sydney.
Sydney Harbour Discovery Lunch Cruise
From the Harbour Bridge to the Opera House and Sydney Botanical Gardens, the Sydney Harbour Discovery Lunch Cruise is the best seat in the house to see more of Sydney than ever before. You won’t come back hungry though, hot from the BBQ is the marinated chicken fillet or the traditional Aussie beef sausage with lashings of meaty gravy.
Café del mar
From the rooftop terrace of Cockle Bay Wharf, you'll be blown away by Café del mar’s panoramic harbour views. Café del mar’s menu is inspired by the cuisines of the Mediterranean Coast, which weaves through everything they do. From tapas, to share plates and mains such as king prawn linguini, carnaroli risotto and Mediterranean grilled vegetable salad, there are delicious hints of Spanish, Italian, French, Greek, Turkish and Moroccan flavours.
Planar Restaurant
In the heart of Darling Harbour, Planar Restaurant is waterside dining at its finest. Whether it's a long lunch or dinner and cocktails, Planar’s spacious deck is the place to enjoy the sea breeze, sunshine and spectacular views of the waterfront. Fresh Australian fare is what sets this restaurant apart, with sharing plates, or boutique burgers, seasonal risotto, seafood, pasta and regional delicacies (like the chargrilled Kangaroo). Now to the cocktails, with names like the peaky blinders, sour hell, pineapple express and the bloody royalty, your curiosity will get the better of you.
Meat District Co
Meat District Co at King Street Wharf, is where modern industrial meets popular waterfront dining. Where to start but the burgers! Aptly named burgers from around the world, try the Mexican, or Portuguese spicy chicken burger. For something closer to home the crumbed chicken burger, the old faithful or the surf and turf burger, sure to silence any rumbly tums! Tender and juicy steaks from the grill, slow-roasted pulled pork, lamb or beef, Ribs, and the freshest of salads, Meat District Co is a meat house with a difference.
Blackbird Cafe
Iconic, modern and Australian, Blackbird is set in the heart of Cockle Bay Wharf dining precinct overlooking Darling Harbour. The menu is full of Australian favourites with an Italian and Asian twist. Think salt and pepper calamari, stir fry noodles with prawns, chargrilled kangaroo served rare with potato wedges and Jack Daniels sauce, spaghetti Bolognese in an authentic Napolitana sauce, there is something for everyone. Favourite drinks include the cockle bay wharf sour, the tipsy shark and the showstopper, you have to see the menu to believe!
